Turning Point Recovery Society is a licensed non-profit with over 40 years of experience providing recovery treatment for adults struggling with addiction through multiple bed-based sites in Vancouver, Richmond, North Shore, and Squamish, as well as offering community-based programs in Richmond such as a Drop-in Centre, Outreach services, Reaching Home program, WTHSP second-stage housing, and a community Café.
Turning Point Recovery Society is seeking a candidate with experience in the residential recovery field (or a related) to serve as the Site Manager at our Richmond Women’s site.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Site Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of our Richmond Women’s site to support clients achieve their recovery goals and ensure compliance with licensing and other regulatory standards.
Responsibilities for the Site Manager Position:

Ensures residential recovery site operates effectively and overall operations, including programming, conform to good practice in recovery and adhere to all regulatory standards.

Conducts program screening, reviews referrals, matches clients to appropriate care, oversees waitlist management, ensures therapeutic interventions and referrals, and provides direct substance use support services as mandated by the program and contracts.

Supervises, trains, and supports Counsellors, Support Workers, and Volunteers, ensuring they meet Core Competencies for Substance Use Counsellors and are trained in developing Individual Service and Treatment Plans, Transition, Discharge, and Aftercare Plans.

Provides crisis intervention, mediation, and conflict resolution through individual and group sessions, and intervenes effectively with clients in crisis to minimize harm.

Collects statistics, completes weekly, monthly, and annual reports, contributes to client case management duties, including report writing, filing, documentation, and performs administrative tasks related to client safety and caseload management in a timely and accurate manner.

Attends community meetings and training as assigned by the Director of Operations or Executive Director.
Education / Experience
-
A master’s degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychiatric Nursing, Leadership, or a related field of health or human services, or;

A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychiatric Nursing, Registered Nursing, Licensed Professional Nursing, Leadership, or a related field of health or human services. Certification in substance use counselling preferred.

Knowledge of current relevant legislation affecting program participants.

Experience with critical incident de-escalation, response, and debriefing an asset.

Current Basic First Aid Certification (OFA Level 1 and CPR or equivalent) or willingness to obtain.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional Information:

A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required.

Valid class 5 driver’s license.

Current Food Safe, Naloxone, and First Aid Certificates, or willingness to update them.

Full time position (7.5 hr/day) – Monday to Friday.

Pay: $58,500 per year based on education and experience
