FUNDRAISING AND EVENTS MANAGER at the Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) is a remarkable opportunity to make a difference. As a professional working for Special Olympics Ontario, you’ll collaborate with law enforcement to raise crucial funds and awareness.

  • Torch Run: The Torch Run is the largest grassroots fundraising organization for Special Olympics Ontario. It’s the official charity of choice for the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police and has been a partner since 1987.
  • Fundraising Efforts: Torch Run volunteers organize year-round events, including polar plunges, endurance marathons, motorcycle rides, and Truck Convoy. Over the years, they’ve raised an impressive $50 million for Special Olympics Ontario.
Role: As the Torch Run Manager, you’ll provide leadership and guidance to Torch Run Coordinators and volunteers. You’ll work closely with 70+ law enforcement agencies, ensuring successful fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Raise funds and awareness for Torch Run and Special Olympics Ontario.
    • Collaborate with law enforcement, communities, and media partners.
    • Oversee logistics, communications, and project management.
    • Conceptualize and execute workshops and regional meetings.
    • Adapt to meet the needs of volunteers raising funds.
  • Qualifications:
    • Strong event and project management skills.
    • Experience in fundraising and events management.
    • Ability to work flexible hours and travel across Ontario.
    • Commitment to the charitable sector.
    • Fluency in French is beneficial.
