About this position

About Pro Bono Ontario

Pro Bono Ontario (PBO) connects lawyers who want to volunteer their services to low-income Ontarians with legal needs that negatively affect their health and well-being. PBO has a 20+ year history of developing innovative programs that bring legal services to people where they need them, including court-based programs and medical-legal partnerships. In 2017, we launched our most successful program to date, a province-wide Free Legal Advice Hotline that helps people facing a range of legal problems, including eviction, workplace harassment, and consumer fraud. The Hotline answers more than 30,000 calls each year and makes a significant difference in the lives of people who have nowhere else to turn.
