About us
There are few causes nobler than saving lives. Equipping individuals and communities with the tools and skills required to look after each other is lifesaving and sustaining work, and it is only possible when the right leaders are in place to make that vision an ongoing reality.
In 1883 in Quebec City, the first Canadian branch of St. John Ambulance to teach first aid courses was established. As the organization took shape and grew over time, the volunteers of St. John became a common and welcome sight in times of emergency in communities across the country. Today, St. John Ambulance is an international humanitarian organization and is a foundation of the Order of St. John. As Canada's standard for excellence in first aid and CPR services, St. John Ambulance offers innovative programs, ensuring Canadians receive the best quality training.
It is within the context of scaling and improving SJA’s lifesaving services that the organization is in search of their next Chief Executive Officer to lead them innovatively into the next chapter of their already storied history.
