Contract modality: Employment contract based in Ottawa (preference); Independent service contract may be considered if based outside Canada.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $72,000 CAD dependent upon experience, with potential adjustments for remote positions. Very generous health and wellbeing benefits package.
Position Mission and Required Experience:
The Project Officer plays a key supporting role in the project’s overall planning, coordination, management, accountability and compliance. This position is tied to a two-year project supporting the resilience of communities in Southeast Asia, with strong youth and inclusion components. The successful PO candidate must be fluently bilingual in Burmese and English.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a proven project coordination and implementation track record, preferably in Southeast Asia. The preferred candidate will have strong knowledge of, and experience delivering against complex compliance requirements, including key tasks linked to contracting (including vetting and due diligence), subgrants, expense reports and payments, partner reporting, event organization and travel. The candidate will also have significant knowledge of best practices related to operational and digital security, as well as online information management, or a demonstrated interest in acquiring this expertise. Experience developing and using online trackers for task management and delivery is a definite asset.
