Can you describe your job and what a typical day is like?
I’m the graphic designer at Summerhill and although I’m part of the marketing team, I work with everybody and on every program. I’m always designing and doing something different, but I’m responsible for everything web and print related, so that could be anything from making posters to website changes. Today for example, I’m working on an image for one of the programs we’re working on called Tundra Takeback. It’s fun because I’m involved in it all.
How did you get your job?
I started out as an intern here and they hired me on full time before my contract was up.
What’s the best part about working at Summerhill?
I like the fact that I can make a difference doing what I love – designing. Also, that you can really be yourself here because everyone is open minded to each others’ differences. Employees feel proud to work here because everyone feels like it’s almost their company.
